Occupational Therapist
Tina is an Occupational Therapist at Kind Therapy. Since graduating Curtin University over 5 years ago, Tina has worked in geriatrics, supporting residents with dementia and within the disability sector, supporting children and adults of all ages. Tina has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and completed a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies at Griffith University
Tina loves to listen and learn about individual’s and their personal stories in order to identify their goals and help empower them to overcome challenges and thrive. Tinautilises creative, play-based therapy approaches such as making modifications to activities and environments so that therapy sessions are unique and enjoyable. Tina values focusing on client strengths and working in a family centered way as well as involving teachers and other professionals in the intervention process.
She is compassionate and driven in making a positive difference in the lives of people from starting their journey with a functional assessment to determine their strengths and needs and supporting the whole person by engaging them in self-care, productivity, and leisure occupations. Tina has experience in providing support across the areas of attention and concentration, fine motor skills, feeding, executive functioning, self-care, social skills, play, sensory and emotional regulation. Tina is skilled in the assessment and prescription of adaptive equipment, home assessments and functional capacity assessments.
