Sophie Matthews
Speech Pathologist
Sophie graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) with Honours and is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia. Sophie has experience supporting children, young people, and adults with a wide range of communication needs, including speech, language, early literacy, social communication and play, and functional communication skills. She has worked in disability, community health, and paediatric settings, and enjoys teaming up with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create goals that really matter to each individual. Sophie is passionate about strengths-based, neuro-affirming practice and loves making therapy feel fun, engaging, and tailored to each person’s interests. She aims to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel confident, valued, and excited to learn.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys reading, travelling, and cooking. She’s always on the hunt for a great coffee or a new dinner spot to try with friends and family.
