Samantha Watkins

Clinical Manager / Speech Pathologist

Samantha is a Senior Speech Pathologist at Kind Therapy. Since graduating Curtin university over 8 years ago she has worked within the disability sector supporting children and adults to achieve their goals.  

Samantha has enjoyed working with adults and children with complex care needs providing speech therapy and positive behaviour support. In her previous roles she aided the roll out of early childhood early intervention services in WA and supported a large team of allied health professionals.   

She has experience in providing person-centred care with children and adults in the areas of language, speech, social skills and dysphagia. Samantha is skilled in the assessment and prescription of assistive technology including assistive and augmentative communication (AAC) devices. She has completed extended training in PROMPT, routine-based interviewing (RBI), paediatric dysphagia, Key Word Sign and HANEN.  

Samantha enjoys working collaboratively with client, families, teachers and other allied health professionals to help clients achieve their goals. Her special interest lies in supporting children and people with complex support needs.
